It's a...GIRL!!!!!!!

I was so excited the night before your 18 week ultrasound that I could hardly sleep! This was the day we were going to find out if you were a boy or girl. Your Dad, Grandmom, Mimi, and Aunt Julia all came with me to the doctor. Talk about a wild group! We were all so excited to get to see you! The ultrasound was just amazing. We could see your tiny heart beating, your perfect little legs and arms...even your fingers!

The first time the nurse tried to determine if you were a little boy or girl, you did not want to cooperate. You had those legs of yours curled up so tight that she could not see anything. I was feeling a bit disappointed because I thought we were not going to be able to find out, but the sweet nurse said we could wait a few minutes and then try again! We had to go downstairs so I could walk around and see if I could get you to change positions. Our patience paid off because when we went back up for the second time, the nurse confirmed that you were a girl! Our sweet and precious daughter, Ashlyn Elizabeth.
