Our wedding was on a sunny January afternoon in 2005...an absolutely perfect day. All of our friends and family were there to help celebrate. We got married at the Church at Sandhurst in Florence, SC, and your great-grandfather performed the ceremony. I remember how excited I was getting ready to become "Mrs. Christopher Newman". Your dad looked so handsome standing there in the front of the church. I wish you could have seen the smile on his face as I was walking down the aisle...I will never forget it.
We had a really simple wedding and reception because we wanted to focus on the importance of the marriage itself. I am smiling now as I write this to you thinking about your wedding one day. I already know you will be the most beautiful bride. I am so excited to help you plan your big day. It is hard to believe that you will one day grow up, meet a man, and fall in love...your dad and I are praying now that you find a man who will always love, cherish and protect you.
