Messy Space Makeover Revealed #2!!!

Remember Kitty's laundry rooom?  She was the overall winner selected by a panel of judges for the "Messiest Space Award."  Here is a little reminder of the photos she shared for the contest.

I am happy to report that in about 3 hours (with some help from our teeny tiny assistant, Miss Ashlyn), we were able to reclaim this space for its original purpose - LAUNDRY!

Here's Ash scoping out the work load.

Her face cracks me up in this picture.  It's kind of like she was asking me and Kitty, "Do y'all know what you are getting yourselves into?"

We started off by moving everything out of the laundry room into the kitchen and literally filled it up with stuff.  Here's a little taste of what that looked like.

We found lots of treasures...including a pop out easel?  You know, just in case you ever need one.  Gotta love it.

We went through every item that we had piled in the kitchen, filled up a what seemed to be a million trash bags, and designated a Goodwill stack.  Then, we put everything that they wanted to keep into 4 plastic bins that stacked oh-so-neatly under this folding table that was hiding somewhere in the original pile of stuff.  Now there is an actual place to fold clothes and hide some storage bins! I love mutli-functional pieces :)

And here are the finished results.  Hello, laundry room!

I am sure Kitty is going to add a few of her amazingly cute decorating touches to this room now (there was some discussion about a fun painted floor).  Can't wait to see what else she comes up with for this space!
