Our main entryway has always been so dark at night because of a terrible light fixture, but we did not want to spend a lot of money to replace it.
Amazing what a little black paint from the garage and a $5 thrift store light fixture can do.
My husband picked this baby out all by himself. And you can't beat $5.

Brilliant! The perfect light for the space and for only $5 - yay!
Bring on the paint. Looks fab just like from Ballard.
That does not even look like the same light! WOW! And I love the black door! That looks really classy! :) One day your house will be in a magazine...I am certain! :)
This looks great! And I love the black door!
And I'm moderately embarrassed because I just bought a fixture for our entry from Ballard that looks darn similar. Thrifty I'm not. =)
Love it. I would have passed that light right up and look at how beautiful it looks with just some paint. So classy!

Great light fixture! I've been looking around for a similar one.
Oh I'm jealous! I've been stalking Goodwill and Craigslist for a light just like that because I have the twin boob lights in my hallway/entryway! Love those and what a great husband to pick that out!
Hooray for an easy, cheap fix! Turned out nice!
I like the change with the black door and light. I was thinking of painting the inside of my front door black as well. I just painted the outside of it red.
